Academic Awards

Honor Roll

To be eligible for honor roll, students must obtain a B average or better for one semester. All grades will be averaged. Grades will have the following equivalents: A=4; B=3; C=2; D=1.

Grade point equivalents are added, and then the total points are divided by the number of classes to determine the average. Any grade of D, F, NG, or INC disqualifies a student from receiving Honor Roll for the semester.

  • Principal’s Honor Roll: 4.00 GPA
  • A Honor Roll: 3.50 – 3.99 GPA
  • B Honor Roll: 3.00 – 3.49 GPA

 

 Principal’s Medallion

The Principal’s Medallion is the highest academic award given to 8th grade students. To qualify, students must maintain a 4.0 GPA all 4 semesters.
