Attendance

Attendance is taken by period. When your child is absent, please call the attendance line/school or send a note with your child upon his/her return to school to verify any partial or full day absence or tardy. Use one of the following options for verification:

  • Attendance Line: (559) 898-6651

  • School: (559) 898-6600

If you take your child to the doctor, please get a note from the doctor and have your child bring it to the office when they return to school. While absent, students should log into their Google Classroom for each class to complete homework.

Senate Bill 727, enacted July 1, 1998, emphasizes the importance of regular school attendance by linking funding to student attendance records. This means that our school district receives funding based on the number of students who attend school regularly. It's crucial for students to be present unless they have a valid reason for absence, such as illness or a family emergency. The district does not receive funding for unexcused absences, highlighting the importance of students attending school every day to support our educational programs effectively.
